Professor Josef Haik, M.D, MPH
Prof. Dr. Josef Haik (born 1966, Ramat Gan, Israel) is a specialist in Aesthetic & Reconstruction Plastic Surgery and Burns. Prof Haik is the director of the National Intensive Care Burn Unit and Director of the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer Hospital, Ramat Gan, Israel, affiliated with Tel Aviv University. Prof. Haik is a Professor in the Faculty of Surgery at Tel Aviv University. Prof Haik completed his medical studies in 1994 at the University of Bologna, Italy, and has been a specialist in plastic surgery since 2002. Prof Haik completed a fellowship in Plastic Surgery in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and in the ICU, Burns in the Hospital of the University of Alberta, Canada. Prof. Haik has a Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH), disaster management since 2008. Prof Haik is a member and chairman of the American Burn Association. Professor Jan Plock, M.D.
Prof. Plock currently serves as Chief of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery at the Aarau Canton Hospital (KSA), the largest hospital in the Aargau region, and one of the three largest hospital centers in Switzerland. He previously served in multiple roles at University Hospital Zurich, including Director of the Burn Center, Director of the Reconstructive Transplantation Program, and Director of the Post-Bariatric Body-Contouring Program. He was made a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Surgeons in 2009 and earned his Adjunct Professorship from the University of Zurich in 2020.
John R. Harper, Ph.D
With more than 35 years of experience, Dr. Harper currently serves as a Senior Medical Scientist in the Medical Solutions Division of 3M Health Care, where he is responsible for early-stage discovery and innovation related to advanced wound care. Dr. Harper previously served as Chief Technology Officer for KCI. In this 3M affiliate, he was responsible for innovation and technology development at the company's Center for Advanced Research and Technology. He also served as Vice President of Clinical Development and Clinical Sciences at biotechnology company LifeCell Corporation. Dr. Harper earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
